Salicylic acid is an oil based acid that has the ability to penetrate into the pores of the skin. This allows it to clear out clogged pores and help regulate oil production. The foam delivery system allows a safe and gentle application and feel. This wash off solution is infused with eucalyptus and peppermint oil for a refreshing and clean feel.
Salicylic Acid
What is it?
Salicylic acid is a natural ingredient that is extracted from the bark of a willow tree. It is a catalytic which means it encourages cell turnover and exfoliates the skin. It is an oil based acid which allows it to penetrate the pores of the skin unlike other exfoliants that only cleanse the skin’s surface.
How it works.
Salicylic acid helps sweep away debris that is in the pores of the skin. This action promotes a clearer complexion, reduces oil production, and makes pores appear smaller. Our Salicylic Acid Foam Cleanser is formulated with 2% salicylic acid. This is the legal maximum limit that can be sold over-the-counter.
How it feels.
The foam delivery method makes the cleanser soft and gentle. Salicylic acid sounds harsh, but it is actually calming to the skin. Allow the solution to sit on the skin for up to 60 seconds. It leaves your skin feeling slightly tight, but not dry. It helps reduce redness and enlarged pores.
Cocamidopropyl betaine
What is it?
Cocamidopropyl betaine is derived from coconut oil. It acts as a skin conditioner leaving the skin feeling moisturized. It is a surfactant which means it is great for removing makeup and other oil based residue on the skin.
How it works.
Cocamidopropyl betaine gently breaks down makeup, sunscreen, and other oil based products applied to the skin. It gently clears the skin leaving it feeling soft and moisturized after use and not overly stripped or dry.
Fruit Acid Complex
What is it?
Fruit acid complex is a combination of alpha hydroxy acids also known as AHA’s. They are an exfoliant that work on the surface layer of the skin to clear debris. It combines the power of five botanical extracts: bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, lemon, and orange.
How it works.
AHA’s help shed off dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. In turn, this promotes collagen production while increasing blood flow to the skin. They also reduce the appearance of surface lines and wrinkles.
